The first one to blink... dies.

Good day people. It had been almost 3 months since I last posted. A lot of things have happened along the way and I will give summaries per month of the important events that have happened to me. I am very happy right now because all my patience and hard work have been rewarded.

:August September

August has been a challenge. The telecon interview with Suresh Damodaran, the Chief Technology Officer of RosettaNET had been ok. But he requested to have a personal interview with all the candidates. This means that I need to go to Manila to do it. I was excited and positive about the work. The problem is, I never reviewed nor studied anything to prepare for it. When the Interview came, I felt there was nothing that could have been wrong. And so I thought. I was not accepted to be part of the core group but I have been recommended to one of RosettaNET's partners. They did a phone interview. I thought I did well again only to find out they considered someone else. Being based in Cebu has been one of the things that was working against my applications.

Project with SVOpS had been normally busy. Unrealistic schedules and lack of definite specifications makes the project very stressful.

I have stopped playing magic already. Although I still read news and still update what are good plays or not, I'm not sure if I can still go back to the competitive level I was in before I stopped.

Davy Hatamosa emailed me that there is a placement in NCR and so I resent my application there.
Initial Interviews were set.

:October November

I took the initial interviews with NCR. It was not difficult as I was able to get an offer from them.
I requested that I hope it will be ok if I start January 5 instead so as not to leave my project involvement in such a bad time. They agreed.

A company specializing in java, CyberJ, also went to Cebu to get people. I tried my luck there too but because they were very specific and I lacked review, I failed miserably. One of their reasons too was that the asking price was so inappropriate with the skills in Java being presented. And since they were specializing only in java and java related technologies, my 3 years of experience prior to NEC was not considered.

Natasha de Guzman asked me why not try Accenture. And when he sent me the email address, I immediately sent my application. I did not expected anything but I think God has something to do with it. They set me for the overview interview. Once the overview was done, I had been informed that it will be a 4 part process. Overview, Situational, Technical and the Closing. IF you pass all four, then you will be given an offer. To sum it all up, I passed all and was given the offer. After negotiating the rate, I have confirmed that I am accepting the offer.

I thank God for everything.
